    Talking A triceps question...

After searching I couldnt find the answer I need. Really basic question too!

Ok All I want to know is, what workouts target the front part of the tricep. What I mean is the part that you can actually look at without using a mirror or some extreme acrobatics. Its small and I want it bigger. Whats perfect to target it?

press downs emphasize the lateral head somewhat.

From that, you should have gathered that you need to target the lateral head. That means you should go to exrx.net and find triceps exercises that target that muscle specifically.

Combination of Skull crushers, pushdowns, overhead tricep extensions, closegrip bp, and heavy chest routines.

All those exercises will work however I believe that real tricep size (as well as biceps) is gained through squeezing out the last two seconds of every rep! Try it.

Muscle Meets Magnet By Per A. Tesch

Muscle Meet Magnet is a book based on MRI research. It illustrates exactly which part of a muscle working.

Thus, in a tricep exercise it will show which of the three head is doing the work in a movment: Medial, Lateral or Long Head.

The book examines the majority of muscles and exercses.

    Reading comprehension fail.

Guys (and ladies), you know the original post is from the year 2005, right?

6 years ago. I think Akira has learned a few things by now :-)
