The bounce wont make it any kind of legal, but I'm sure it was a major effort on your part. How much can you really squat though?

He means that bouncing it off of a bar would never make it count in a powerlifting meet. You didn't even hit parallel either from the looks of it. Try ATG pause squats.

I knew it wasn't him but I wasn't sure if he really was confused by Mudge's post. People these days aren't exactly becoming more intelligent. I think everyone really should try ATG pause squats though. There's no comparison to any other squat IMO.

i feel that power squats can help me to gain some more mass, but olympic squats are good to mix it up. however, i think power squats should be the foundation of a mass building routine- not olympic. but it is good to mix it up.

and as for a pause- sure its great if you need it for a meet, but i grow faster with no rest in my tempo. i think i get a better workout with constant tension.

but what youre saying beats the hell out of what the kid in the video is doing!

lol, first of all...that wasn't even a squat. More of a "bouncing quarter squat" and the kid is a moron, hopes he breaks his spine and that ought to teach him a lesson.

Did anyone notice the right plates sliding off on the first bounce.

What happen to clips

It would've been more effective to do 200 full motion, than 500 and

That's more like a meathead curtsey than a squat. Put your back into it, come on.
