abs shouldnt be treated like any other muscle, while you can still overtrain, doing abs 3 times a week is nto liek doing chest three times a week.

I train my abs 0 but it's because i am very short my abs are easier to build
In my opinion the abs get enough work from compound lifts like deadlifts and squats because they are used as stabilisers in the lift anyway - well works for me, everybody is different. However for somebody who prefers to train abs i would say twice a week would be a good target. |

i try to do weighted cable crunches after most light workout days. Those are ussually cardio days or days when i do not have good energy. I prob train them directly 2-3 times a week. I feel you can train abs for more regularly than most other muscle groups. I wouldnt hisitate to train 3-4 times a week moderatly for a month or so if you have the time. If your trying to get abs that are visable tho you should know its 95% diet, thats why skinny faggots who dont train still have abs. You dont wana be like that tho, keep some meat on 10-12% and train them 2-3 times moderatly and they will respond
