New Personal Best

It's really not that impressive but after ten weeks I've added 50lbs to my bench press, 135 to 185, and I've forgotten what I started at on squats but I hit 220 yesterday. Sad thing is i'm 22 and I've been working out since I was 19, but there was a full year where I got lazy and stopped lifting. Anyway, I owe my gains to the people on this board for helping me out with diet and everything...my next goal is 225 bench and at least 275 on squats. Thanks everyone!

I squat all the way to the floor...i may cheat on my very last rep and go just above parallel but i'll do a drop set to make up for it.

thats good, ATG (ass to grass) is the only way to squat. everything else is just a partial squat IMO.

Good to hear. I'm in the same boat. I have been lifting on and if since I was 16. I didnt' really start lifting correctly till I registered on this forum and began reading. I used to do like 30 sets for my puny arms. I still see people doing that in the gym. I keep my mouth shut though. I started benching around 185 and now bench 225. I squat 275 and DL 305. I started at 155lb bodyweight and I am 180 now. My goal at 155 was 185 but now I'm thinking I want to be 205. I pretty much eat all day and lift 3 days a week. The eating is the hard part for me. Costly too.

Yeah, right now I way in at 185, I'd like to see about 200 while keeping as much lean muscle as I can. I started doing HIIT on the stationary bike. And I would love to be able to do deadlifts...but I hurt my lower back working over the summer so i'm afraid to do anything that might aggravate it right now. But thanks for all the support...I'll be sure to post again once I hit my next goal, or if I have anymore questions.
