easier for skinny guys w/little muscle to gain fat?

Hey guys, it is true that leaner guys with less muscle mass will put on fat easier/faster? Is it because they have low fat % and the body will want to grab what it can?

For instance, guys who are casual runners/cyclers that do not weight train. Like me, I do quite a bit of cardio, only callisthenics, and eat very clean. I do not cheat (I guess I do cheat if you count kashi go-lean but that's as bad as I get).

I'm 5'8" about 125, do quite a bit of cardio, and eat clean. I can get pretty toned and last time I had my bf% checked at school it was 6.5-7%. However, if I slack for even a few days or take a cheat or 2, I can notice it pretty quickly in my abdominal region. It seems fat does not take long to find its way there. Is this primarily because I do not have lots of muscle mass? Or do I just gain fat there easily. It's not a massive amount of fat but it's not as ripped like I'd like it to be.

Some ectomorphs are endomorphic as well, I have some of this problem. But a pure ectomorph, or someone like a Flex Wheeler, will have little to no problems keeping fat off while eating almost anything.

I can notice a single cheat meal, 1/4-1/2" on my waist the next day (AM before any meals or liquids). So cheating for 2 days straight and barely noticing it, consider yourself lucky. Men store fat in the central region as a generic rule, thats how it goes. Its believed that its stored there for mobilities sake, and for women gestation period fat is stored in the thighs/hips/buttocks region.

If you are under 7% you aren't fat, but you need muscle to see muscle. If your abdominal wall is flat and not very developed, you wont see much.

ok, thanks for the reply. When my bf% is low and I haven't been cheatin at all, my abs are definitely visible. I suppose it doesnt help that I am almost ALL torso. I'm 5'8" but only wear a 30" length pants.

It's not that I don't see muscle, its that my stomach isn't as flat and seems a little more soft than the day or 2 before. This may sound strange, but sometimes to measure I will lay flat on my back, then left my legs in the air, and bring my head/shoulders off the ground. This flexes my ab region and will allow me to feel any/all fat that is in my lower abdominal region.

Finally could someone go over the endo/ectomorph definitions again? I always get them confused.

im a Mesomorph ( this is the fat one right?)
N i can tell you it sux man!

u get fat easy
and it all goes to ur mid section

u can get strong and make nice muscle gains
but fat goes with it.

example

did a 2 week cycle of superdrol
gained over 30 pounds

sadly my waist started off at

size 34

went up to a 38.
