Oi,
Hey everyone, I am working on a math project of mine about bodybuilding. What I am doing is researching repetition maximums for each age. What that is, is how many reps with a 10 kg dumbell can you do. That is lift as many times as you can and tell me how many you did. I need information from people from the age of 14 to 18. Thanks.

I would say to ask for maxes of some movement, but chances are that you will get a lot of liars and you won't know if they're using correct form and/or full ROM. It would get a lot of responses, but probably very few would be accurate and as a whole it wouldn't be accurate enough to use in a study. Oh, and 10kg is about 22 pounds, so I don't know if some people would be able to obtain a 22 pound dumbbell.

Get a new project idea. Strength really doesn't have much to do with age at all. Also, since you are not personally observing your subjects, you cannot be sure everyone is using perfect form, which is something that definitely needs to be keep constant.
That's true, strength doesn't have much to do with age. Perhaps do a study on the ratio of a certain lift to bodyweight. That could outline the efficiency of a body at a given weight and perhaps if you had enough data you could conclude the most efficient weight (but that would require more data than what is available I'm sure).

I guarantee I can curl that 20 times or more. I have no idea; I don't even do DB curls.

its very hard to compare strength at all. This subject isnt comparable unless variables such as diet, training, experience and genetics remained exactley equal.
Even though I still think you need a completely new idea, if you really want to go along with this, at least do years of training vs. strength.
1 hand or 2 hand 10kg?? 10kg = 22 lbs
Sorry but I don't see any logic to taking a small weight for one set to see how many reps you could do regardless of age. If your in this for Bodybuilding then you need to re- think about your training. If your in this to continually use the same weight to set a record for most reps then great. I'll see you in the guiness book of records, but never in a bodybuilding Magazine.

This is a dumb post. Interesting title but a dumb subject.
