You really do not want to lower your calorie intake down by over 500. If you try to restrict your intake much, your metabolism will just shut down, and you still will not lose weight. You have to keep your intake up with the amount of exercise you are doing, and your body size requirements.
Spread your eating out into 5 or 6 small meals, instead of two or three big ones. Tuna fish, vegies, and whole grain food products are good, along with non fried skinless chicken. Peanut butter is another good source of protein; do eggs, and red meat in moderation. Drink about 2 gallons of water a day, this helps flush fat from the body. |

I meant to mention this before but forgot, (so I'm old, and that's my privilege).
There is a program that you might be interested in I have used it, and this thing really works. You can get a free 15 day test run, and if you like it it's about $49.00 I think. It will keep track of the calorie you take in. The % of proteins, carbs, and fats. Also the amount of calories you burn daily, plus the exercise expenditures. It creates a little chart that tracks your progress, and will warn you if you go overboard on intake, or cuts. It will let you know if your water intake is sufficient, and lots of other specifics. It's called diet power. This is not a diet program, it's a diet monitor. Link below: http://www.dietpower.com/ |

aim for 1.0 to 1.5 grams of protein per lb of desired lean body mass when lowering your overall weekly caloric intake by 10 to 15%, don't pay attention to the Golden 500 rule, it's not going to help you if it doesn't apply to your own body
