    Dropsetting and pyramids.

I know dropsetting does not increase strenght much but it does blow up your muscles, which is why bodybuilders tend to drop set alot whilst athletes don't due to strenght being their primary concern - many times dreading extra size.

I was wondering if pyramids have the same effect.

Drop sets are for pumps. Pumps don't do shit, most body builders don't know what they are doing.

pyramids lead to fatigue before you reach the peak load.

rather do 10 reps and 3 sets of your 245 bench to failiure than 10 reps for every weight between 180 and 245.. by the time you reach 245 youll be getting 10 reps max.. 1 set.

tell me which 1 is better for muscle growth? lots of warmups? or a relaly ball to walls peak load?

i sure as hell dont see any ppl getting big off warmups.

That's not pyramiding. A pyramid, at least as I've always understood and done it, increases weight as reps decrease... 12x155, 10x185, 8x225, 6x275 is a pyramid.

Yep.. Drop sets are great for muscle hardness. Most BBer's onyl bust out drop sets in pre contest workouts to avoid looking 'flat' onstage. Drop sets for the average joe is worthless.
