About resting

People at the Gym advice me to rest for 1 day...while I think I should at least rest for 2+ ‎days a week. I'm 150lbs, target is bulking. What do you all think about it? ‎

I think if you are confused wither to train or rest...skinny people will be more on the safe ‎side with resting.‎

The plan is like working on Saturday, Sunday REST on Monday....workout on Tuesday, Wednesday and again REST on Thursday, Friday.

I did'nt use any supplements ...just getting started. Planning to start with Myoplex twice a day. I try to get my daily 2 canned Tuna, Low-Fat Milk, Honey and boiled eggs when possible.

I workout
Chest/Bicep
Back/Tri
Rest day
Legs/Calves
Shoulder/Abs
Rest Day

Your program has sufficient time for rest and recuperation. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

They might mean rest 1 day between workouts. Right now, you have 2 workouts back to back, 1 day of rest, then another 2 back to back. So your working out 4 out of 5 days straight. I do the same exact split as you except I try to balance it throughout the week.

Example.
Legs
Rest
Chest/Bicep
Rest
Back/Tricep
Rest
Shoulder/Abs

I only have 2 workouts next to eachother, one of which is my easiest. This allows for your body to havemore rest time and yuo might feel less worn out.

Hope that helps.

Personally, I like to have at least one rest day between workout days. Many people don't do that and that works for them. As long as it continues working, keep doing it. In other words, I agree with furion.

I think 3-4 day lifting splits are the best for natural lifters. I have really been liking my rotating 2-3 day split. I also usually stick in a couple days of cardio on days which I don't lift.
