    Question increase in strength

    a couple weeks ago i benched 150lbs and today i did 160lbs and i havn't did much for my chest except the 3 sets of 5 reps i did lastweek could of that been it?

    Many things will affect your max such as the temporary energy level you have, how you ate, how you slept, what you did before attempting to max, etc. I've added 10 pounds to my deadlift max in a week before. It just depends on a lot of different things.
