    front squats ... or no?

ok, my lower back/hips have been bothering me. i aggrevated something awhile ago and the pain came back after squirming while performing back squats.

back squats and deadlifts are a definite no, but i was wondering if front squats would be ok on my low back? if not... what can i do thats not going to fuck with my back (leg exercises) ?

Why not just lay low and rest?

your right, i should. aside from being hardheaded... i took 2.5 weeks off about 1 month ago, and im on a roll as far as my weight gain is concerned, so stopping now would totally fuck with my head. Thing i'm worried about is if I do stop, I'm scared the discomfort will not go away

Go get it checked out by a specialist. And don't aggravate it with weight lifting until you find out what the problem is.

    thanks guys.

monkey - thats what i planned on doing but i wasnt sure if i should even do that. sucks not being able to do sq/dl's but oh well. hips gotta get rested.

    what about DB lunges?

i've gotten it checked out by my chiropracter (not a specialist) he told me nothing i didn't know... "its muscular, your young and healthy... rest it and you'll be fine."

so im probably gunna take a break from training, at least my lower body.

I don't see why high rep leg presses would be a problem..

sox: too much pressure on the lumbar...

ok so i stretched for a good 15 minutes and immediately felt better. i did some leg extensions both with 1 leg and 2 legs.. followed by hammy curls with either 1 leg or 2 legs. lowback/glute/hip felt fine. stretched for another 15 and called it a day. As long as i get SOMETHING in for legs i'll be satisfied.
