shoulders, rotar cuffs
i think my rotar cuffs or something might be screwed up.
even if i just raise my arms up they make a poping sound and cracking sound. i think benching movements aggrevate it more as well, especially incline. my right also seems worse than the left, i think because when i was younger i played baseball and i would try and over throw or i threw side arm instead of over hand.. i dunno something like that caused problems. with the benching every time i go up and down it pops and cracks and eventually it gets sore, mainly with incline though. any ideas what it could be or how i can fix it or prevent it? or am i fuct ![]() |

If its really sore, i'd stop lifting for a bit to let it heal, like syntekz said you should do some rotator cuff work and maybe see a doctor to.

I had/have the same damn problem! It sucks.
I took around 3 weeks off from upper body training, then started back light, to this day I am still not doing any incline presses or military presses. |

I had the same problem. Physical Therapist did a lot of stretching with me and it helped a lot.

Symptoms include:
-Pain when you bend the arm and rotate it outwards against resistance. -Pain on the outside of the shoulder possibly radiating down into the arm. -Pain in the shoulder which is worse at night. Stiffness in the shoulder joint. What can you do? -Rest and ice the shoulder for 2 to 4 days depending on how bad the injury is. -Once the pain and inflammation has settled down start on a rehabilitation programme. -If pain and inflammation has settled down apply heat. Heres a link to some Rotator cuff exercises: http://familydoctor.org/handouts/265.html |

When I perform side lateral raises and release it from midpoint position back to the starting point, that's a crack on my shoulder and it kinda hurts. Is that also a symptom of rotator cuff injury?
Not to mention, my left shoulder 'cracks' and 'pops' very easily, even w/o resistance (not painful though) |

Keep on going...

-do not do any exercise that is causing you acute pain
-you may be better off with dumbells than with barbells...you can adjust arm position somewhat to be more "agreeable" with your range of motion -warm up shoulders and rotators completely before all pressing movements -do some direct work for your rotators to strengthen those muscles and the tendons and ligaments that support them -ice your shoulders after training |

This is worth a checkup with an orthopedist if it does not dissipate in a few days. |
