i want to start doing squats and dead lifts, currently do chest, back, shoulders, arms-each with it's own day. how should i incorporate these additional excercises into my workout, ie. add another day, add to chest day, ect...
also, whats a good beginning program for squatting and dead lifts? i've never lifted with my legs before. tried squatting today and did 205x12 reps pretty easily. i have never attempted to deadlift. thanks.
maybe you should try working out both your arms on the same day!! JKOriginally Posted by buckeye
to answer your question though:
you should incorporate a leg day into your routine, its a MUST!
the deads are predominantly a back exercise, although they do work your legs too, therfore you should have a couple of days between back and leg day if you are doing deads.
try this split
chest/tris
back/bis
shoulders
legs
for your legs do the following
squats
leg extensions
SLDL
leg curls
leg extensions
calve raises
