Hot tub after workout?
Will sitting in the hot tub for 10-15 minutes after a workout be beneficial or detrimental?
My thinking is it is beneficial as it allows blood to flow easier, helping to transport the protein and creatine I'm taking to all parts of my body. Or should I be hitting the sauna instead of the hot tub? |

I like the SPA (Hot Tub)
I usually use it when stretching to keep muscles warm after training |

On the contrary!
Cold baths are to your benefit not hot ones. When you enter the cold bath your veins detract (dilate) deeper to attempt to keep you warm. when you come out of the bath to normal room temperature your veins will come to the surface again bringing a fresh supply of nutrients to your cells. Their is more to it than this - I forgot the rest as I read the article ages ago sorry. Pro rugby players and other pro sports people have ice baths after their training! |

I'll take the Hot Tub and a cold beverage any day after a workout. It may not be benificial but it sure as hell feels better than droppin my ass in a frozen slushy! |
