Back from my week off

I went to the gym after a week off and i noticed i dropped in everything.

Is this normal, because i swore i read here that when you come back you should be able to max out, not drop.

If you actually needed the week off, you should be making progress as if you hadn't even had time off, or maybe even better. If you took it off when you didn't need it (vacation or something), then it depends on the individual. This is just the general idea, so I might be able to add ten pounds to everything, whereas you may have to drop ten from everything.

Maybe you missed a few meals the night before training? maybe you didn't get enough sleep?

Anxiety?

Their are lots of factors governing slight strength contrasts on a day to day basis.

Don't worry about that training session now! It's in the past push yourself next time ....it's a mental thing.

It depends on various factors. Probably one of the largest factors is the length of your training career. If you have been lifting for 15 years, then it is going to take longer for you to decondition than someone who has only been training 2 years. Don't worry about it. You will be back to your previous numbers in a matter of a couple of sessions. However, your tendons, ligaments, joint cartilage, and central nervous system will thank you for your week off.
