    sets and reps

hey, what results are you more likely to achieve when 4 sets of 10 of an exercise as opposed to 12-10-8 etc (u know when you increase weight and decrease the reps). will the 4 straight sets of 10 still make you big? thanks guys, tom

You can do either as long as the sets are progressive and you are gaining strength and size.

Training is only part of the equation to getting BIG.

I think both methods will achieve similar goals, that is inducing hypertrophy if you are creating enough stimulus to do so.

I have never liked pyramids. I feel you should always start with the heaviest weight first and go lighter, not including the warm-ups. Otherwise you are exhausting yourself before you get to the set that is going to probably lead to the most increase in strength.

Yup. The ultimate goal in the end is to increase the amount of work you do one way or another: increased frequency, increased volume, increased repetitions, increase weight, decreased rest intervals, etc.

Not sure as there are numberous training methods. I'm currently using the dogg crapp methid. you work one muscle group for one working set with extreme stretching afterwords. In the next three months, I will be the strongest guy on this site.
