Question for the Experts - Please read!

Hi guys, i was wondering if you could take the time out to give
    me a little help.

Due to health problems i put a lot of weight on
over the 2003-2004 year and was weighing in at 14.5 stone for
a 5ft 8 guy. After sorting most of the problems out, i lost a lot
of weight and went down to 10 stone by february this year.
After my weight and diet balanced itself back out, i
    have been steadily around 11stone-11.5.

After losing all that weight i have wanted to keep my body
in a good spectacle, and have so wanted to start body building
(not competitvely, just personally). Ive been gym going
for about 4 weeks now and have had pretty ok results.

However, i have a question, which im really confused about.
Take a look at my pictures :

You can see how ive been doing. You can also see that when i shifted
all that weight a year ago i was left with a lot of body fat around my waist
    and love handles.

The question i wanted to ask the experts or anyone who can help, is this:

Im serious about my body and i focus on workouts and nutrition, but
is it possible to lose this fat without compromising and losing my muscle?
Is it possible to lose this fat and either keep or carry on building on
    my current muscles?

Im confused as i know that it is not usually possible to lose fat and
gain muscle mass at the same time due to the diet element.

    Can anyone help at all?

    Thanks so much in advance

    Kris

Post your diet in the diet section they will tell you what to change. Then post your training in the training section and we will tell you what to change.

For someone as new to resistance training as you are, it is quite possible to build muscle and lose fat at the same time. As your training age and level of adaptation increases, it becomes much harder.

Diet is going to be the most important determinant factor when it comes to body composition. Check out this link to get started:
