It cant! If you stay the same but have gained muscle size then you have also lost fat or water to balance the weight.

I know you can gain size with out gaining weight, but how is that possible? Is sacroplasm really sparse or something? I just don't understand how something can weight nothing.

gain muscle and lose fat!!!!???!??!!

I really have no fat to lose. I am bigger at 155 than I was at 165.
You have to have all your measurements at both weights....plus body fat% to really be able to see where the weight went.

My bad, it was from 163 to 156.
163 (7/14/05)
arms 13.5
thighs 22.5
forearms <11.25
calves 14.5
chest 42.5 (breath in flexed)
waist 27.5
glutes 37.5
156 (9/1/05)
arms 13.75
thighs <23
forearms 11.25
calves 14.75
chest 43 (breath in flexed)
waist 27.5
glutes 37.5
Body fat didn't change.
7 lbs isn't much, could just be the scale, water weight on that day.....my weight fluctuates by 5 lbs throughout the day...and once I lost 8 lbs in a few hours out in the sun running.

Don't think its a big deal...if you gain another 10 and have the same exact measurements then you might wonder W.T.F?

You would have to trade that weight for bodyfat weight, or loss of muscle in other areas.Originally Posted by ihateschoolmt

There are countless reasons why this could be. Probably much of the poundage is water weight.
