new kid on the block, open for advice

hello everyone, didnt quite know where to post this, this forum seemed the best

ive just turned 17 and have started lifting weights, im pretty skinny and wanted to become a bit hencher

i have been browsing these forums for a while and have read loads of articles how to gain muscle

i know what i consider the 'basics', stretching, warming up etc

i just want a few peoples advice on what i should be doing, currently i have ermm 26kg worth of weights, 2 dumbells and a barbell, not a lot i know but im on a budget

my goal is to concentrate on my arms and pecks, i already do a lot of skating so my legs are pretty strong anyway

so yeah, any good routines, particular excercises, how long i should be doing things for is what im really after, reps and sets etc.

just thought id add that i cant afford to go to a gym, all my money goes towards college and rent, so all i have is the weights i currently have

    thanks for any help

Barbells and dumbbells are all you really need to get a good workout. It's nice to have more choices sometimes, but you can certainly make excellent gains with nothing but free weights. Also, skating isn't going to provide the same stimulus as weight training will for your lower body. In fact, I bet training your lower body would result in you producing additional pop and such. I used to skate, trust me.

Check out my article on full body routines. I usually suggest that beginners go this route:

Don't forget to look into good dietary habits too. This is especially important if you are trying to gain muscle mass. Even if you don't follow a perfect program, you can improve your diet to some degree and notice a difference:
