    Arthritic knees

Since about the age of 4, ive had troubles with Arthritis in my knees, it has gotten alot better now im older but i still have to have them drained annually. They dont give me problems as such until i try leg work outs. Im fine working my calfs but but my upper legs give me pain in my knees, no matter what the weight (unless we are talking 20-30kgs where its fine) Is there anything i can do which will help build up my legs without putting strain on my knees.
    Thanks for any help

Unfortunately, you can't really work your quads fully without bending your knees. The primary function of the quadriceps is to extend the knee...
