    Designing a Full Body Routine

Check out that thread I started. Refer to the section about "General health." The "bodybuilding" tips could also be applied. It really depends how lean she is now. I would go with the bodybuilding guidelines if she is already pretty lean and just needs to pack on a little muscle mass. If she has a little bit of pudge, then the general health guidelines might be better to start with. If she is a total beginner to exercise in general, then there are also some guidelines for beginners.

Then, have her clean up her diet a little bit. She doesn't have to go crazy and count calories. Just have her eat smaller more frequent meals, more vegetables, include some EFAs, increase protein intake, try to stick with complex carbohydrate sources, and avoid processed foods in general. Increasing water consumption would also be a good idea.
