I would certainly suggest more rest. You may also want to post your exact exercises and rep schemes and your diet if you want more than just general suggestions.
Right now I do:
M - abs, chest, tris
Tu - legs, back
W - shoulders
Th - Arms
I might switch to:
M - abs, chest, tris
Tu - Off
W - Shoulders, Back
Thu - Legs
Fri - Arms

I'm 33 years old, 5'-10", and 169lb - I'm fairly lean and have an athletic shape. My goal is to cut down to 164lb in six weeks, w/o sacrificing muscle mass. HELP!!

My favorite split routine is push-pull-legs:
Monday - Legs, Abs
Wednesday - Chest, Shoulders (Anterior & Lateral), Triceps
Friday - Back, Traps, Shoulders (Posterior), and Biceps
I just said legs on Monday because everyone does chest on Monday. This will give you more free reign of the equipment.
