    Question about endurance..

I need to build up endurance on the treadmill. I've never been a runner, but am trying to teach myself. Does anyone have any advice? Also, does anyone know what causes those damn sharp pains across the abdomen, or how to prevent them?

Yeah, just progressively increase the time you jog for. Make sure the increments are something you can handle, like 30 seconds a week or whatever it may be (I pulled that number out of my ass, don't necessarily use it).

In terms of cramps, I always just jog through them. Just make sure to wait 30+ minutes after eating before you jog, and they should become less common as you jog more often. I still get them occasionally, but not like when I first started jogging.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

Thank you for the advice. Def need to watch that first one, have a tendency to push too hard, too fast.

Yeah, I once tried adding 30s every other day. Being about 230 at the time, my body didn't like that very much.
