I tried to do them once as an experiement with just the bar, and I had some pain in my right hip... I don't think my mechanics are such that I can do them, but conventional are fine

My little pain in the ass
|
I only do sumo style...I can't get the form down correctly on conventionals and it just feels like a better groove for me...plus it hits the inner thighs more than anything else you can do, which is good for me considering I play hockey, so strong groin muscles are a must.

Functional Lifting = Life
|
I should probably start doing these as well (my inner thighs aren't very developed). I used to actually be afraid of these because when you're getting used to the movement, the extra strain on the groin muscles can be scary because that's something you obviously want to avoid injuring. The thing is, my conventional deadlift keeps rising, and I don't want to rotate it out. Maybe I can do sumos at the same time and just add them into my workout.
