Dont lift anything heavy with that shoulder (obviously) and just take it easy. When I had shoulder trouble, I just put some icy hot on it for a few days, and when I was watching tv I put some ice on it. Dont be too rough in the game I would say, is it a bad pain or just like a sore feel?
Last nites dancing went fine. Didn't do the big lady lifts or drops, but all the smaller stuff - shoulder held up well. Today - shoulder feels fine. No twang went swing arms around etc.
Age old question:
Weights 2 times a week.
Last session - sore shoulder
Tonight - do I go easy - to avoid an injury????
Please advise
Martin
PS:
Tonight is Dead lifts, DB overhead presses, abs
Oh man... Thats harsh!.... I'm not saying I'm a weights addict now - but I do want to keep at it.
How do guys better themselves if they back off at the 1st discomfort!??! As i said - the age old question... should one train on a sore muscle....!???
How about - if I forget the DB overhead presses this week - and conc on Deadlift and Abs? Is that a possiblity?
Also, is there any correlation between muscle strains and sores - and the amount of weight you push? eg. would lower weights and more reps be a better option on a sore muscle? Or is there no reall difference? either yopu execise a muscle - or not at all!
im not a doctor, but if i have a joint pain I will rest intill its better, i dopnt see the logic in aggravating an injury. if its just soreness from working out, you should rest untill the muscle is completely healed anyway. so rest!
