Question Trying to help my petite gf put on 15 lbs....

    Hi,

My girlfriend is 20 years old, and is very petite...weighing about 100 lbs. She wants to put on about 15 lbs, so she doesn't look so skinny, and I told her I'd try and help her.

I already told her she needs to:

    1. Eat more, eat healthier, eat 5-6 smaller meals a day, eat more carbs
    2. Work out to tone her legs/butt/arm
    3. Cardio (sex)

She's asking me about the protein powders and mass gainers....Are these okay for females? Will they be a problem with her birth control pills?

Sounds like you're on the right track. Thankfully, she probably won't have to shovel down much food at that bodyweight to gain some mass. Check out my template for designing a full body resistance training routine:

    She's 5'4", waist size of double 0 I think.

Does she want to eat the suggested 5-6 smallers meals a day? Or just 3 BIG meals a day? Im asking because when you eat 5-6 small meals daily, your metabolism increases....but doesn't she want the opposite? Shouldnt I get her metabolism to slow down so she puts the weight on quicker??

If it slows down, it'll just go into a catabolic state and store any fat it can get. You want to add muscle, not fat. Just have her eat enough such that she ingests more calories than she burns each day, and spread it out evenly so her body stores only what it needs and constantly gets protein to constantly build muscle.

eating smaller more frequent meals really doesn't have much of any effect on the metabolism in terms of fat loss. the body is better able to utilize nutrients from frequent smaller meals, it is a much more healthier way to eat. your gf wants to gain LBM not fat. so be increasing the frequency of her meals, counting some calories and adding in some resistance training she should easily be able to add some quality muscle
