Grip Strength

Specifically reverse grip strength. I noticed when I try to do a reverse forearm curl, my forearm is weak as hell for this movement and so is my grip. Is this normal? Besides strengthing it from compound exersizes, i.e. deadlift, is there anything else that I should be doing.

Farmers' walks are excellent at conditioning the whole body, specifically grip and back strength. Do them heavy and walk maybe 25 yards. Rest and repeat twice. That's what I do and it's pretty cool knowing you just walked a distance holding hundreds of pounds in your hands.

Top of the forearm is weak because there is very little need for strength there.

Maybe there is no need for strength there, but it feels vulnerable as hell.

Static holds, thick bar lifting, covering the BB with a towel, gorilla hangs, plate pinches, etc.
