    Marks on shoulders

I just joined a new gym recently and now have a lot more equipment to work with. I have noticed a lot of results in the past month especially in my shoulders. I came home the other day though and noticed that I had red streaks across my shoulders. Someone told me they were popped blood vessels. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

Am I over-training? I've been working out 5-6 days a week. A different body part each day though.

The standing calf raise machine always does that to me, so does the hack squat. So I would say its either something like that or like Chalcedony said.

the day I noticed them I was doing calf raises. Hopefully that was it. The marks are fading and don't really look like stretch marks. Thanks for the help guys.

Yeah, the pads on our machine are kind of crapy so I roll up a towel around my shoulders, it helps a bit.

Those are like hickies.....I get them when I do hack squats too. That's why they fade after a day or two. It's just the bar or pads rubbing on your skin (just like a hickie) LOL

I got those marks from a standing calf machine also. Took about 3 days for it to go away.

like the others said, that is from the pads on a machine you're using.

Yeah, I get those sometimes. I get them from hack squats, and I get them from regular squats of I do not use a barbell pad. Don't worry about them. They won't cause any harm (except for maybe inflammed testicles ).

Take the vacuum off your nuts and the swelling should go down (I speak from experience, of course)
