    benchpress and cardio questions

While doing dumbell flys, sometimes my rear deltiods hurt. Now i do keep my shoulder on the benach/strapped so the chest is doing the primary work. Any clues?

I recently started to cut, so doing more cardio (with the cutting in diet and all).
Since its starting to get cold, i ll ve do run indoors. But i hate the trademill machines. Though the ellipticals i m ok with. How good are they (i ve rarely been on one), like, say if i do 50% of cardio on the treadmill and 50% on the elliptical. Are they gonna give me the same 'cut' as the running or do i need to spend more mile(s) on the elliptical than running those many. i doubt so...but wanted to open this out to the folks out here and see what you think?

    Thanks !

In reference to the bench press, check out this article to help you with form:

I don't think the cardio machine really matters all that much, as long as you are pushing your heart rate to similar levels with each device. Don't get too hung up on the details. Just because you use an elliptical to do cardio instead of jogging outside isn't going to make your cutting ineffective.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

So then. say running a mile outdoors and doing a mile on an eliptical (wth the level set to like b/w 7-10) would be the same? Just trying to fig out how much cardio will i be doing on the machine

You can also try stationary biking for cardio to mix things up.
