Why do you need an "ab machine"? Why not just do crunchies (in all its various forms)? Then you can spend the money are something useful like adjustable DBs or such.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

waste of money. crunches are more effective and they are free !
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

    yeah but

I've been doing various types of crunches for years - to good effect - but when I recently used the ab roller at the gym - I was sore as hell for 2 days after! I'd just like to get one as an adjunct to my normal ab routine, so any suggestions for places to get one would be appreciated - thanks guys

A barbell or dumbell (round of course) works just fine.
