200lbs equals respectable weight?!
I just read a post in the now-famous chest thread and i read something about you having to be over 200lbs.. i don't see the point really unless i am missing something..

There are many variables to consider: how lean, how tall, bone structures, etc.
As far as pro bb's in competition there are probably none today that are under 200lbs. |

I think the point he was trying to make is that you need to put on muscle before trying to sculpt it.
KANE, what the hell does that have to do with his question? |

actaully there are a lot of PL's out there today that keep their weight well below 200 in order to maximize their lift efforts. i know plenty of guys in the 160-180 range that press weight well over 2x their body weight. buddy of mine recently competed in the 165lb class and bench 365, squat 505 and dead 560.

It would have to depend on your height. 200 lbs and 5'1" would be rather fat.

200lb is just a milestone.
It's a round number and it's (relatively) big by normal standrads. Other than that Seyone was spot on. Too many people focus on little things too much while missing the bigger picture. |
