putting on size
Hello everyone,
I am new to the site. I have been working out for about 2 1/2 yrs. and I am having trouble putting on size. I have tried lifting heavy, getting lots of rest and eating right, but nothing seems to work. I have just recently put on 5 extra pounds, but that has taken me a long time to accuire. Any suggestions or help on putting on some size? Preferably more muscle than fat. Thanks. |

Make sure you're eating adequate protein, very important, and of course enough calories. Eat 6 meals per day. Train with basic compound movements, using heavy weight (6 rep range).

It sounds like you may need to look at your diet as Prince said. Your muscles need protein to grow. If you are not getting enough then you can pump iron for years and not see much for gains.
Check your protein and calorie intake daily. 1~1 1/2 gms protein per pound of body weight minimum! If you need help with nutrition post your questions in nutrition forum. You will get lots of answers to any questions. |
