    I think I deadlift wrong...

On the start of the liftI have my legs bent slightly(maybee at a 120 degree angle) and I lift with my back. I try and keep my back straight by sticking my ass out. Should I try and correct my form or is this passable? It still has to strengthen my lower back right? Oh and during the lift the lowest I go with the weight is 6 inches off the floor from the bottom of the 45's.

In my opinion, if you're going for strength gains:

Your butt should be lower to the floor; your legs should be at a smaller angle. Personally, my thighs are very near parallel at the bottom of the lift.
You should use the full ROM - make the weights touch the floor and then go back up, locking out by leaning back at the top.
The way you're doing it can't hurt you as long as your back is straight or arched backwards, and, yes, it will still do some strengthening.
For the best critique, post a video so we can see exactly what you're talking about.
Push yourself. Enjoy yourself. Be yourself.
