Ok to do cardio after weights?

I'm currently bulking and I want to throw in a little cardio. Is it ok to do cardio immediately after my weight session? If so, what kind is ok and for how long?

If you're bulking, I would advise you to try and stick to doing cardio on days that you don't lift. Or, if you must perform them the same day, then try to separate the sessions by as long as you can.

Really, if you were to keep it reasonable and doing 15-20 minutes of cardio at the end of your weight session, it probably wouldn't make much difference. If you can swing it the other way though, then do it.

So would you suggest doing cardio 45-60 min on my non-training days?

As I said in my last post I don’t want to loose the muscle. For me it seems to be one or the other if I say that I will only do a small amount of cardio it's never enough to start burning fat I need to perform 45-60 min to burn fat and then it also burns muscle?? You just can’t win!

How about a low fat, high protein diet and about 1500-2000 CALs with lots of hard training is that the ultimate way to gain muscle and lose fat?

I do cardio after weights, however I am not trying to bulk. You can make up for your caloric expenditure if you wish which will help. If you are trying to burn fat then cut, trying to do both while it may work is going to cause frustration in how slowly things change unless you are brand new to training.

If you've been training well for 6+ months or so, just bulk or cut. Dont do cardio trying to cut when you are trying to bulk, if you are doing cardio for general health then stick to what is working and dont worry about it so much.

I jog currently, but if I were bulking I'd just do fast walking most likely.

So when you are cutting it isnt too hard on your muscles/body to lift and do cardio all in the same day? Maybe just bad on leg day?

Personally whether cutting or bulking I like to do cardio first thing out of bed after taking in a whey shake with water. I do cardio everyday except for the days I train legs.

If you do cardio after weights your heart will fail and you will die. No exceptions.
If sense were common, everyone would have it.

You shouldn’t have enough energy left after the weight to be able to manage any cardio, if you do you need to work harder

Good to know since I'm not much for dying quite yet...or in the next 70 years for that matter!!

I would always do at least 10-20 minutes of light cardio after any training session to help eliminate lactic acid. doesn't matter what phase you are in your training
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

Oh damn. Now I see this. I've just done cardio after weights for the past two days. How much longer do I have to live?
