well the first thing you have to do is erase that signature. then I might answer your question!
i am 18 years old 6'2" 260lbs. i have almost no muscle i get to huffin and puffin when i have to carry a 50lbs bag of dog food. i spend my days sitting on my bed infront of my TV. i am probably the laziest person you will ever meet. but latley my body has been telling me i need a change or it will quit on me, my knees are going bad (most of the cartildge in them is gone) along with my shoulders and ankles, my back is so bent front the weight on the stomach that i can't sit up or stand up straight, i know if i keep on this track i will most likley have a heartattack before i am 25.
and for any of you who feel the need to make fun of others don't wast your breath because i have most likley said it already to myself.
so anyone know of any beginning workouts to start gaining my muscle back(if there is any left lol).

You might want to check out the diet section and lose some weight first. If I were in your shoes and health were a cause for concern, the first thing I'd do would be lose weight. I'd worry about adding muscle after I'm down to a healthy weight. Just remember to keep it simple - create a caloric deficit and eat smaller amounts more often. Stay away from things that are fried or processed and that should give you a good lead. Read the stickies in the diet section for the best info.

I think you are mistaken about your muscle mass. You probably have a decent amount of it. You may not have a great amount of strength, but at the age you are at now, you have huge potential to gain strength due to high levels of testosterone your body is producing. Take advantage of that. Inform yourself as much as possible, because as much as someone would 'like' something to happen, it will never happen unless they have knowledge of the subject matter, they can then begin to apply it. I would suggest that you read the sticky's in each forums and begin to reference them to tailor your diet, workout's, and to learn the tricks of the trade. Also ask a million questions. I know nothing compared to some of these guys on here, but I don't mind throwing in my 3 cents.Originally Posted by The Joker

Part of the reason you gained so much weight back is because you were eating one meal a day. You were starving yourself, and as a result, your metabolism took a nose dive. That's the problem with diets that restrict calories too much. You need to lose you weight at a reasonable pace so that you don't slow your metabolism down too much. That way you won't yo-yo back when you return to maintenance calorie levels.Originally Posted by The Joker
Diet is first. If you want to lose fat, then I think the first place to start is diet. Exercise is an integral part of cutting fat, but it won't totally make up for a bad diet unless you have awesome genetics and your body simply won't allow you gain weight without force feeding yourself. Check out the diet section: read the stickies, do searches, and ask questions.
In terms of training, you are going to have to ease yourself back into it. I think resistance training takes top priority in improving body composition, but you can't just hop in the weight room and start lifting heavy. I would highly suggest starting out with a bodyweight callisthenics routine doing things like pushups, pullups (Assisted ones if necessary), situps, hyperextensions, and bodyweight squats. Do full body routines using these exercises a few times per week. Once you get your strength up and you start improving your fitness levels, then you can advance to some weights. Check out my writeup on designing a full body routine. Check out the section on training as a beginner. Also, check out the section on training for general health, which you can advance to in due time.
When it comes to cardio I would start out with some walking/power walking a few times per week until you get to a level of fitness that will allow you to do something more strenuous. Eventually you will want to advance to jogging, and then to more intense forms of cardio if you prefer.
Keep reading, and good luck.

ur a joke i can already tell, u can either eat right as part of ur lifestyle and weight train also or u can die and early death. is that hard for u? its simple man, get your diet and order and start out lifting slowly, u dont want to drop 50 lbs in 2months at all, just work at it slowly and ull figure shit out as u go

I do a little cardio, and I weight train. Basic training is a lot more simple than you fixing up your diet, work on the diet first buddy (my honest opinion). Miracles happen in the kitchen before they happen in the gym.
