Any of you home gymers out there have any advice on the best way to build a squat rack. I know how it should look and function, I'm looking for material selection and some tips if any of you have done it or have seen it done.

Squaggleboggin uses 2 sawhorses. Seems like a pretty cheap and effective way to go about it. Plus, the ones he dropped me a link to a while ago have a 1,200 pound holding capacity.

that's not bad, I didn't think about something that simple. Guess I just have to make sure I don't fall...no cage to catch you.

Actually the sawhorses are what catch the bar should you fail to lift it. For the actual rack to hold the bar, I just use the back of my bench. It's simple yet serves its purpose beautifully.
