there is no percentage of how much you should front squat in relation to your back squat. Feel it out and see what happens as they are different animals. Make sure you use good form as always.

I always do it in the rack position (like a clean).

Some hold it with their arms crossed over the front....we call those people Bodybuilders.....they are lame.

and my olympic lifting friend why do we cross our "lame" arms? I don't do any squats for the most part...sometime just regular free squats...I have never tried front

it is easier iwth arms crossed. You don't need the flexability to hold the bar. The reason you do it in the rack position is because it is specific to catching a clean. Also, it takes a considerable about of rear delt strength to hold the bar in place.

crossed arms give me a hard time. it's not a comfortable exercise as it is but i find more stability the other way. it's just a matter of personal preference.

I do rack position front squats and I feel they're much better than back squats. I do both ATG and I can get 260 on front and 295 on back. I also added at least 20 to my back squat doing from squats exclusively, so there's definite carryover capabilities between them. I'm sticking with front squats for now because I just like them a lot more for some reason.
