My staples are deadlifts, various forms of rows, and pullups/chinups. I also incorporate upright rows, face pulls, and cleans on occasion.

kenwood, ditch the double sets of rows and make chins a staple, you'll thank me for it.

It depends what you are training for. Let's not turn this into another which lift is better debate. Both train different articulations of the shoulder joint on different planes of motion. Both are effective at recruiting a multitude of musculature in one's back.

I do both.....just think rows are a bigger movement and maybe a better ROM..
But its best to mix it up.

Wide Lat Pulls
Single Arm Rows
Shrugs
Deads

in that order

I wouldn't do SLDL on back day. They cash my hams...

I agree. I think both movements should be staples in anyone's back routine.

I gotta ask.

That barbell thats in almost every gym...it looks like a regular barbell but it is curved on the inside. Is that bitch used for rows?

In 10 years of training, never once have I seen someone use it.

Weighted Pullups 80lbs 3x3 (3/19)
