My staples are deadlifts, various forms of rows, and pullups/chinups. I also incorporate upright rows, face pulls, and cleans on occasion.

I alternate between all about any back exercises with the exception of dead lifts
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

It depends what you are training for. Let's not turn this into another which lift is better debate. Both train different articulations of the shoulder joint on different planes of motion. Both are effective at recruiting a multitude of musculature in one's back.

I agree. I think both movements should be staples in anyone's back routine.

    I gotta ask.

That barbell thats in almost every gym...it looks like a regular barbell but it is curved on the inside. Is that bitch used for rows?

In 10 years of training, never once have I seen someone use it.
