i'm lifting 4x a week, hitting each muscle group once per week, with HIIT on two of my off days, and one day sitting on my ass eating.

Three times a week, although that number has dropped recently because of concerns (chicks school & car).

I usually feel better when I work out less. I'm pretty sure this is a temporary phenomenon. Maybe I should take a couple of weeks off.

None of the above. 2 days a week. Fortunately I haven't lost much in size but I'm sure I have lost strength. Shoulders aren't as big as they used to be and back isn't either.
