    Pullups Killing my Biceps!!

I do close-grip pullups on bi's and tri's day but my bi's NEVER get sore like this. Yesterday was a Shock back day and I was doing some double drop Wide Grip assisted pullups. My bi's haven't been this sore since I first started working out years ago. I've gotten pretty good at concentrating on only using back muscles which makes this very unsuspected. I just noticed this thread poses no question.......Anyways I've come to the conclusion that All Pullups are far superior to curls for biceps!!!!!

    Reps 8-10 for workout
    4 sets Stiff leg Deads
3 sets - Double drop Assisted Pullups (I'm pretty sure this is what did it)
    3 sets - SuperSet- D.B. row/Seated cable row
    2 sets - Drop set - Pulldowns

same here man. I do pull ups for my back day and my biceps kill me for at least 2 days after. I use the strap to hold my ass to bar longer so I think that has something to do with it too.

Glad to hear you like them. Although you should pay more attention to results than soreness, I do think compound exercises are the way to go.

I would move Stiff leg Deads to leg day
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

I like to him Hams with back on back day. I think it works nice for me,some more though on that . I focus more on squats on leg day because they are weak relative to my deadlift.

I would also add in some leg curls either standing or seated then.

Well think about it, you're curling your bodyweight plus some, as opposed to probably half that throu isolation, and we all know compound movements are superior. At least for one it saves time!
