Who practices Yoga? I have questions for you

How many days a week do you do it?

What time of the day do you do it?

What results have you seen from practicing Yoga?

    Cool

Do you go to an instructor, or do follow video tapes/dvd's?

I'm thinking about using the show "Inhale" that comes on the Oxygen Chanel (no pun intended) to get me started. Steve Ross is the instructor on that show.

I bought the book..."Real Men Do Yoga". It is written by some guy that teaches it to pro athletes and one of my buddies that was the strength coach at Univ. of Colorado recommended it to all of his football players so I decided to pick it up. I like it.

I've never given it a try. I think I might give it a shot in the near future. Gold's has some yoga classes; I might as well take advantage. I'll let you know what I think.

I just joined a health club this week and yoga classes are offered there too. Used to do Yoga on a daily basis for a year or so. Might be a good idea to get back into it, since it makes sense that it would have the advantages P-funk described.

    1. You can do it 7 days a week 10-14 min a day if u wish. BTW, there are many "asanas" in yoga that streach/flex diff parts of the body. Then there are the "pranamayas", so called breathing yoga asanas. Split em up so u streach diff body parts each day. I do it 4 days a week.

    2. I dont ve any research material to prove my point. Yoga is best suited early morning before any kinda breakfast. Just make sure u dont do it on a full stomach.

    3. There are obvious benefits to streching yogas, but breathing yogas are suppose to increase ur concentration and freshen up ur brain or somethin like dat. I have yet to get an A in my Calculas class

    Just my 2 cents

I agree, I've heard nothing but good things about yoga. I'm a big advocate of stretching, and yoga has an added bonus of increasing strength in a way lifting can't. I wish I could fit yoga into my schedule. But this is just MHO.

Yoga is awesome. I do a 15-25 minute routine 5 dys a week and its all about breathing. Go from stretch to stretch with a calm breath....

What he said. When I had huge tits it helped my back. It still makes me stand up straighter after for a few days.

... and what they said about improving sex. Especially this one tape I have that's mostly core exercises.

I only tried it once. I followed a video tape. I found it really boring. You have to hold these poses for a long time. I just don't have the patience for it. I believe it can be very effective though. Almost like meditation. I think I need to try it in a real life class.
