    Post Is It Go0D To...

    is it good to do more than u can lift? for example if you max out on bench at 175lbs is it good to do like 180 or 190 for a forced rep or whatever it is? like someone spotting you and they have ahold of the bar and goin down w/you and up but they do as little as possible and they try to make you do all the work?

    but after awhile won't you get use to the weight and won't your max go up?

    well i did them tonight and i've been doin them before 2-3 times and within a couple weeks my bench went up

    Some people do supra-maximal eccentric lifting for strength gaining purposes. However, that is a very advanced technique. I seriously don't recommend it for you.
