Exclamation How Many Time Per Week Should You Do Cardio??..

I've heard a lot of mixed answers on this. I'm not trying to lose weight, just trying to stay where I am, and keep my stamina up. Here's a little background first: I have about 6 to 6.5% body fat, so I really don't have fat to lose. I'm about 5' 8" 155 pounds, which seems light, but I have a bulky build. Anyway, I've been doing cardio at least 5 times a week, sometimes 6. I usually run 4 days a week, about 5-6 miles, and ride my bike once or twice for about 45 minutes. I lift 6 days a week, recently switching over to one or two muscles per day (Bi's/Chest/Back, Lats/ Tri's, Traps), which ends up working each muscle 2 times a week.

Soo..I was wondering if you guys think that I'm doing too much cardio for my own good. I want to keep my metabolism up, as well as my stamina, but don't want to cause long term damage by doing this week after week. My calves pull easily also, as a side note, but I stretch them thoroughly to prevent this.

Let me know what you think,

MiKe

What would be normal as far as cardio goes, in terms of times per week? 3? 4?

What are your goals?

Do you merely want to maintain your current level of cardioresperatory conditioning or improve it?

Are you trying to gain muscle mass, gain strength, or do you only lift weights for health?
