Wrist exercises
Can you please advise a simple "at-home" exercise for strengthening wrists - consider them to be newly repaired after being broken.

Wrist curls
Reverse wrist curls Rope wrist curls I'd keep the weight light and work on high reps. |

Here's a link to a site that shows how to do the exercises along with others. You should be able to do the curls with something at home like a Bottle of water or something you can grab with your hand that weighs a couple pounds The rope wrist curl is something you can make at home, all you need is a dowl say 1 1/2 foot, a peice of rope around 3 foot and some kind of weight. Tie the rope to the middle of the stick and the weight at the other end. Hold the stick out in front of you and wind it up (using both hands) then when the weight gets to the top wind it back down. Good exercise for both wrist and forarm. |

playdough...after surgery..this way it gives as you squeeze it. after awhile then move up to those blue raquetballs.this will help get your grip back, and what Scotty is saying as well..
