That's normal and I doubt you can change it, a lot of pro bodybuilders have this.

    Justin Leonard:
Perfectly normal. No one has a set of perfectly symmetrical abs. Although some are more symmetrical than others. You cannot fix the imbalance. It is genetic. The good news is that for you to have discovered this imbalance, you'd have to be pretty lean.

That's just one guy. Some people naturally have amazing symmetry.

so are you saying that if one genetically gifted, juicehead has symmetrical abs we all should have them?

the shape of a muscle is genetic. training and diet will only effect the size of the muscle(s)
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.

It'll make your abs have less symmetry with alignment and with size, so you be the judge on whether it will help.

There is nothing that can be done. It's part of nature so you have to deal with it, beside who'se going to really stare at it.
There are alot of great body builders out there with misaligned abs.

Quit drinking the alcohol as this enlarges the liver giving you the appearence of deformed ab's

Seriously if you look at a lot of the pro's, you'll see there ab's are all over the place. Don't worry about it. Just diet down until you see the ab's and then your own genetics is going to deterime there shape.

There isn't one side to isolate. The rectus abdominus is one muscle. However, you may very well cause in imbalance in other core musculature that has a symmetrical counterpart on the opposing side of the body like the obliques.
