    Core Training

    hi,

    can someone give me some ideas on core training or a web address that gives details of core training exercises?

    Also do some searches for pilates. As well, consider unilateral and unbalanced training.

    the best thing i can think of for the core is core holds.......it is where you are on ur forearms and toes only and try and stay stiff as a board.....i'll look for a pic

    That exercise seems to me as more of an abs exercise than an entire core exercise. Work big, compound movements (squats, deadlifts, olympic movements) and unbalanced things as CowPimp said. Not that this is so much of a great core exercise, but I think power straights would be a good addition to a routine revolving around functional strength.

    AKA: planks or bridges. If you put your feet on a stability ball and try to do a bridge you'll hit the core pretty good.
