    flu victim

I had it settle in Friday evening, I'm shaking it off as we speak. I'm down about 10 lbs total, fluid, muscle some fat I'm assuming since I didn't really keep anything down for 3 days.

What is the best strategy for ramping back up? I feel I could do some light work today but would it just be better to wait until I feel strong enough to go all out?

Also, if I take the rest of the week off does it count as an "off week" or did my body not get enough rest because I was fighting the flu? I'm due for a week off which is why I'm asking.

I would wait a few more days Until you have fully recovered, let your immune system gain its full strength once again.

Regarding your "off week" I personally wouldn't regard it as an off week, possibly half a week, as your body would have been fighting the flu for that 3 days.

guess I would have figured it out when I couldn't lift half what I did before huh?

    Thanks for confirming my thinking!

    FYI for other sickos.

I waited until my BW climbed back up to pre illness levels and resumed with intensity and less volume. Strength was not compromised during my comeback workouts. I'll probably handle all illness related setbacks like this in the future, seemed to work well.

Bro i had a pretty bad bug a few months ago and roughly 10lbs which i could notice in the mirror, but i am thankful that it only lasted 4 days in total, it could have been a lot worse. But the important thing is not to get stressed and worried about losing that weight but be more in the mind frame of accepting that you had this path downhill and now the only way is to go back up and to get that weight back on good luck mate, start out slowly.

When ever I get the flu, I take ephedrine and advil and I feel like a million bucks until the ephedrine wears of at the end of the day. Then I feel like a million pesos but its time for bed by that time. Anyway, try taking ephedrine and advil and you can work out right thru having the flu or a cold
