Holy ouch.

Okay, was doing incline db flys.... Wasn't paying attention, friend was talking to me (told the bastard never to talk to me when im working out)... and the weight strayed behind me.

I was doin 2 100's, it strayed back and I just barely noticed it, then I pulled my arm back up to stop it from going completely back.. Holy shit it hurt. I took my shirt off (it hurt taking my shirt off) and I looked at my back, and all around my right shoulder blade is bruised to shit. I put a therma care warming patch thing on it, and braced my back.

What else should I do? And what did I tear/rip?

100 pound flys? must be those fly-presses most people think of as flys. perhaps lower the weight and do a real fly in the future and you wont have this problem.

even if you were strong enough to do it.....do you really think that 100lb DB flyes are that safe for the shoulder joint? The torque at the joint must is probably pretty high (especially if you have longer arms and they are straight with little elbow bend).

Okay, enough bustin' balls.....If you are bruised or black and blue I would try and get to the Doc. You may need to have looked at.

I've been lifting for awhile, I'm 6'1, weighing in at 268 lbs...Been bulking for 2 years now. I was on an incline bench, with 2 dumb-bells, bringing them down to about shoulder width, and pressing back up. Maybe those're presses? I'm not sure.

All I know, is when you get it to the top, and it starts to go back behind your neck, it hurts like a mother fucker.

I'll check into the doc if it doesn't feel any better tomorrow, but right now I'm almost immobile.

Thanks for the responses, as inappropriate as some of them are

Yes, those are dumbell presses, much different than fly's.

I was gonna say. I was doin' 40lb DB flys and it puts a good strain. I know I could go bigger, but I like my tendons and muscles all connected n' shit.
