After reading another thread....I just had to ask....Am I being a bitch???? Yea, guys I can be serious and non-pornal!!!!
Heres my problem...Im getting back into serious gym time....but for me to do a decent workout....I have to get very tunnel visioned (if there is such a word!!!). Because a lot of my friends have noticed the physical changes in me...they have all been asking me what Im doing....not a problem...more than happy to help out!!!! Only now they're joining my gym!!!! There are about 4 of these girls...all are great, all want to get into it (only not too serious they may break out into a sweat), only they are there to have a chat and catch up with the latest gossup!!!! Im way past that shyte.....when I start my time...I push it hard....some of you may not think it...but I do love the pain of my muscles screaming out when you do the last reps!!! So heres my plea.....how do I tell them to either get going...or get going?!!! Or do I have to go to the gym twice...once to do the real thing...then later for the social side????? |

Yea...I got the same problem......just put my walkman on so loud you can hear it from the pool next door.......and just look straight though anyone that looks like they`re on thier way over for a chat, and they usually realise just in time that it was someone behind me they were going to bother. ![]() |

That is too funny, i just asked almost the same question. I have people everyday that ask me how to do this or that and I don't have time. I don't think it is being a bitch to want to go workout and not have social hour. I was told to be honest and tell them I want to work out please let me. I think that is a good thing to do. I will have trouble saying that though. Wear some headphones while working out. I am going to try this. Good luck. ![]() |

saying whats on your mind[in a graceful manner]does'nt make you a bitch.the gym is your time.you have set goals, and you're reaching those goals,dont let anything interfer with that. the gym is not social time, stay foucused on YOU.

Thanks guys...only problem is....these people who wanna chat... they are my friends!!!!! Like mums of the kids my kids go to school with....my next door neighbour...my sister!!!!! There are times when I would love more than anything just to zone them out.....only problem is.......I think they may just take offence to my zoning techniques!!!!! Craig...just reading your thread made me laugh...I know where your at...only....like I've said...they arnt people I dont have to live with....get my drift!!!!!

I have an idea for ya..........the next time you go to the gym and one of those females are there and they start trying to talk, ask them if they want to workout with you. When they say yes......punish them.......push them to workout HARD. The next time they won't even come close to you. They won't want to put themselves in that situation again.

Hey,
Try and tell them, to get results you have to work at it and work hard.... we can chat before and we can chat after but I need/ and you need... 30-45minutes to hit it hard.. other wise we might as well just stay home and shoot the shyt.... be upfront and honest... if they like the results they've seen on you and want the same.. just tell them flat out.... it isn't easy or everyone would look great... |

Make them workout really hard and tell them this is your normal routine. In a week or two you will see who is still interested in working out with you. |

You should do your best to fake a good convulsion and drool anytime they come to ask a question . Or you could simply YELL your answer at the top of your lungs . Or just mutter under your breath that the king of darkness doesn't need these interuptions . That's what i do

Hey i used to get alot of that shit from people in the gym. Just politely crank your walkman up untill they hear it at the front desk and keep moving, and dont look arond. If people come to talk to you, simply say i can't talk right now, catch me on my way out. Works for me. Or talk while you do your cardio, GOD knows its boring as all hell anyway!

MAX's idea really has worked for me. people seem to think it's crazy to be able to get in and out of the gym in 35-45 minutes but i do it and i train HARD. i tell people that i'd be happy to answer questions or help them out before or after but not during training. it used to be hard to do. but i found if i don't do it - i get so upset with myself when i realize i didn't get the best workout in that i was capable of. you can do it. and we know you're a lovely person - not a beeotch at all!

LMAO......I did the...."Do as I do......and try to keep up!!!" One of them decided she would go and "Have a chat" with another mum we know!!!!! Two others started well enough....but have since dropped by the way side....pitty really....they all had high hopes to start with!!! Im still going...when I can...I opted for home training while our school holidays were on....to many mums coming to the gym to get away from their kids...and bad mouthing each other! Hell I thought a gym was where you went to get fit?!!!

When you go the to gym you have to go to train not chat. You can chat after you have finish your workout. Talk to the gym owner to make some house rules and to talk to the inform the customer of the gym rules!

Wear a ball cap.... and pull it down reaaalll tight. Put your walkman on reaalll loud. When moving aroud the gym, be swift and look down. If the're friends at all, they will soon respect your work ethic/results.
